Workshops

We are very excited to have our workshop up and running here in Dorset. We love what we do at Pickle and Ginger and are excited about passing it on to others. So many people arrive at a workshop saying 'I am not at all creative' but you will amazed at what can be achieved and created with a little guidance and a lot of fun. No experience is necessary to attend any of our workshops, we will provide all you need, along with a warm cuppa and a homemade cake and you will take home a wonderful creation.

If you are looking to celebrate with friends, have a get together or just fancy trying something new, we offer the perfect place here in our workshop in the coach house in Trent Dorset.

Our workshops can be varied to suit your needs but generally are in dried or fresh flower wreath making, or buttonholes and bouquets. We also have fresh flower crown making which is ideal for a hen party. Keeping it floral but on a slightly different tack we run silver clay jewellery werkshops where you use dried or fresh flowers to make a silver flower pendant necklace which you then accompany with a small dried flower spray. We also offer bespoke party workshops, where, after being creative you can wine and dine in our fabulous village pub, so do drop us a line if you would like more information.

Workshops can always be adapted to suit your occasion and needs and we can also bring the workshop to you. We run events in our workshop for 4 to 6 people at our studio and up to 10 at other locations, but if your needs are outside this please do contact us to discuss as we will do our very best to accommodate you. Workshops 2025
Silver Jewellery Workshop Saturday 22 March 2025
Rose and Crown, Trent. £60 per person including 7gms of silver clay and all materials to make a stunning silver necklace, coffee and feast of light bites and afternoon tea style food.

We are very excited to be holding a silver clay jewellery workshop in collaboration with Amelia at The Rose and Crown in Trent Dorset. This workshop will be held at the Rose and Crown and run from 10.30 to 2.30.
​What to expect.
The workshop will begin at 10.30 with planning and tuition on how to create your silver charm. Under the guidance of Amanda you will then all create at least one pendant charm. (depending on size, sometimes 2 are possible)
We will then break for coffee and allow the clay to dry before continuing with careful cleaning and finishing before firing the clay, where the magic takes place and your silver is revealed.
You will then have time to finish and polish your charm to your preference and using silver wire attach it to your chain. You may also (time depending) add a small decorative pin choosing from a collection of semi precious and antique stones and beads and not forgetting to make a small dried bouquet to top your gift box.
We will finish the session with an amazing feast prepared by the team at the Rose and Crown.
